About the Project

With a $500 million budget, PCL Construction Management began construction of ICE District Tower A in November of 2014. This 56-storey, 192-meter-tall building will be one of Edmonton’s two tallest towers when completed. Tower A is set to become a mixed-use development known as JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District & Residences, blending 33 floors of private residences above 22 floors of JW Marriott Hotel–just the third of its brand in Canada. The hotel includes 346 guest rooms, conference space totaling 25,000ft², and a 10,000ft² ballroom.

Our Solution

PCL has relied on our team for design assistance as well as procurement, delivery, and installation of steel frames, steel doors, finish hardware and electrified security components throughout the tower’s 56-storeys.

We continue to work with PCL and other developers as a new construction door supplier on projects within Edmonton’s new ICE District, which has a combined budget of 2.5 billion dollars. In fact, Tower A is adjacent to another of our completed projects, ICE District Tower D, more recently named Edmonton, a 29-storey tower with a $300 million build cost.
